Méribel Valley consists of 14 villages, located downhill from the lively resort of Méribel itself (1,450m) and its neighbour, Méribel-Mottaret (1,700m).
Méribel-Mottaret is a newer resort and a major lift centre that offers some ski to the door properties while the quieter Brides-les-Bains is in the valley below Méribel but easily connected by gondola. Both ski resorts offer some alternative cheap ski holidays in Méribel Valley.
A ski holiday in Méribel offers an extensive ski area - the Three Valley lift pass will give you access to skiing in the neighbouring resorts of Courchevel, La Tania, Val Thorens and Les Ménuires. Méribel Valley offers some nice easy green and blue runs to introduce beginners to the sport while there is also a good mix of red and black runs to keep Intermediate and Advanced skiers happy. The terrain offers a variety of challenges from wide, open slopes to some steeper tree lined runs back down to resort.
If you still have the energy after your day on the slopes Méribel Valley offers a mixture when it comes to après ski. Méribel ski resort is well known for its lively partying while other resorts offer some more laid back après ski.
